    occupation: Initially a miner, but farmer and innkeeper at time of
death.

The family emigrated to US of A some time after Anthony William Truscott OPIE was born, and returned to Cornwall before Mary Anna Maria Truscott OPIE was born.

Peternell married John MANATON in September 1862 and the two families emigrated to NZ, arriving Lyttelton 26 December 1862.
