Room behind This image probably dates from the late 1940s / early 1950s. The large white building to the left is the Tamar Inn. (The car might have had the registration FOF - Full of Fun, as it was known at the time . . . ) The railway line to Gunnislake runs from left to right, below the post 2WW Council Houses, now known as Church Lane. Although they appear to be on a hilltop, they are only part way up the hill towards the Parish Church.
